For twenty years, my life in the fashion industry revolved entirely around work and building my career. But when the COVID-19 pandemic suddenly brought everything to a standstill-taking away my job and confining me to my home. I found myself feeling guilty for simply being alive. And somewhere in that stillness, my eyes opened to the environmental issues facing our world.
As I researched these global challenges, a deep desire began to grow within me: I wanted to be of help to someone. At the same time, a question quietly surfaced “Is the way I’ve been living truly making me happy?”
I decided to step away from the environment, achievements, and possessions I had built, and set off on a one-year solo journey around the world, with the purpose of engaging in support and volunteer work.
While volunteering in different countries and witnessing many harsh realities, I kept asking myself “What do these people genuinely need?” While money was the most immediate answer, but temporary donations and material aid will always run out someday.
This is where my true purpose emerged. As an outsider who could travel to these communities,I realized that sharing the skills and talents of local people with the wider world could help them build the ability to sustain their own lives without depending on outside help. And I believed this path could support future economic growth, cultural enrichment, and personal empowerment.
The world is full of social problems far beyond our daily imagination. That is why we refuse to delegate this responsibility to others. We are committed to using our own hands to sow the “Seeds of Hope” where they are needed most.
May we create a world where as many people as possible can choose their own way of life with dignity, freedom, and hope.
